PLIRB will joining Hastings RNLI for their free concert to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.

The Pett Slip Buoys will be on stage at 18:00 – come and support them!

It is an historic occasion marking two centuries of lifesaving courage and dedication.

Doors open at 13:00, entertainment starts at 15:00.

14:45: Section 5 Drummers lead the procession from Butler’s Gap to The Stade

From 15:00, the entertainment will include:

• • Martin Bruce and the Rye Harbour Herrings performing a sea shanty written for the 200th anniversary
  • HOT Ukelele Group
  • Hannah’s Cat Morris performing traditional English folk dance
  • Tom Kelly performing a repertoire of folk, gospel and songs from the sea
  • Tap on Tap performing a lively and energetic tap routine
  • Pett Slip Buoys singing traditional shanties
  • Sambalanco playing Brazilian carnival rhythms with a Hastings twist
